A Prayer for Africa

The striking beauty of Tanzania’s wild bush. I have never experienced anything quite like it in Kenya, the danger and the excitement of being so utterly remote. Population increase, poverty, ever-more livestock needing grazing, poaching and corruption are huge and constant threats to these beautiful untouched tracks of land. It’s a fast decline, once the livestock come the wildlife and vegetation disappears, now damaged the land can no longer be under wildlife, it is lost to farmland. Millions of hectares of land like this are being lost each year. It is a bittersweet honour to have experienced even just a little. I pray for Africa.
